What do Newcastle DJ Hire Charge?

Very much depends on exactly what you want however budget approx. $100 an hour for any decent Newcastle DJ (travel may be extra).  More detailed prices can be found here.

What Type of Music does Newcastle DJ Hire have and what sort of music do you play?

Newcastle DJ Hire has a wide range of Genres and Artists ranging from the 50′s right through to modern day Top 40. Newcastle DJ Hire’s personal preference doesn’t play any role in the music that we play preferring instead to be guided by you.

When will the Newcastle DJ Hire DJ arrive?

Newcastle DJ Hire pride ourselves on our punctuality. Our DJs will arrive at your function no less than 30 minutes prior to the agreed start time to set up.

How long will the Newcastle DJ Hire DJ play for?

Newcastle DJ Hire will be ready to start from the agreed start time of your booking and at your service until the agreed finish time. The setting up and packing up of equipment is not considered part of the booking and will not be taken out of the performance time.

Can the Newcastle DJ Hire DJ stay longer?

If you would like Newcastle DJ Hire to continue to play past your agreed booking time please consult with them directly. Bookings are extended in half hour blocks and payment must be made on the night.

How much room does Newcastle DJ Hire need?

Please allow 3 x 2 meters for the DJ and equipment.

Does Newcastle DJ Hire need power?

Newcastle DJ Hire requires a power point and a table. Everything else is included in the Newcastle DJ Hire service.

Do I need to cater for Newcastle DJ Hire?

It is not necessary to provide any food or beverages for Newcastle DJ Hire.

Can Newcastle DJ Hire play my music?

Newcastle DJ Hire are happy to play any music provided to them.

Can Newcastle DJ Hire MC my event?

Newcastle DJ Hire are happy to make announcements during the function. Wedding DJs will announce all formalities throughout the night.

The Function Centre has a DJ included in their Package. Why Should we Book You?

Very simply the answer is quality. Function Centres often shop around for the cheapest DJ they can find and they then add them as their “package DJ” whilst still making money out of the Booking. Cheapest rarely equates to good quality!!. Please do not underestimate the importance of quality music and service at such an important day in your life. The “package DJ” usually has either poor quality equipment, limited music selection, poor attitude and or poor service.

Do You Hire Out Equipment such as Karaoke Machines and DJ Gear ?

No, we do not.

Can we meet before the Function Date to run through our Wedding run-sheet?

If we are simply providing DJ Services then most issues can be resolved over the phone or via email with respect to the running order on the day, however should you feel more comfortable to meet before the Reception then we are happy to do so.

Does Newcastle DJ Hire require a Deposit and how do we pay you?

We require a 50% deposit at time of booking. This can be paid by credit card or direct transfer and the final balance is to be paid by similar method during the week leading up to the function. This initial deposit will be 100% refundable should you need to cancel the Booking provided we have a minimum of 6 weeks notice.

What do you wear at the Function?

Depends… if it’s a 21st and a young DJ is coming for a young crowd they will dress accordingly.  Most of the time its black pants and a long sleeve collared black shirt.

Does Newcastle DJ Hire have a Wireless Microphone Available for Speeches?

Yes We do, however most reception centres generally include this in their package. We will discuss this with venue management in advance.

Does Newcastle DJ Hire Service outside the Newcastle Region?

Newcastle, Central Coast, Hunter Valley are our main regions although we are happy to travel anywhere.

Has Newcastle DJ Hire done a Function at XYZ Function Center before?

As you would appreciate there are hundreds of Function Rooms scattered throughout the Newcastle, Central Coast & Hunter Valley. If we haven’t done a function at a particular venue we will always visit the facilities well in advance to ensure we are familiar with the layout and will have discussions with the Management to cater to their specific needs.
